Renée Ashley, author of four books of poetry, a chapbook, and a novel, has received a Pushcart Prize and fellowships from the NEA and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Her latest collection of poems, Basic Heart, won the X. J. Kennedy Award. She teaches in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s MFA program.

Emma Bolden has published three chapbooks of poetry. Her work appears in such journals as Indiana Review, The Journal, Feminist Studies, and Prairie Schooner. A finalist for the Ruth Lily Fellowship, she is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Georgetown College and the poetry editor for Georgetown Review.

Paula Brady earned a BA in English from Yale University and her MFA in poetry from Boston University. Her work appears in Shenandoah, Meridian, and Ellipsis. She is a medical student at Columbia University in New York City.

Brent Fisk, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, has had work appear in The Cincinnati Review, Southern Poetry Review, Rattle, and Prairie Schooner. His poetry manuscript is near completion.

Elizabeth Gonzalez earned her MA in Writing at Johns Hopkins University and her work appears in Sycamore Review. She is working on a story collection, The Speed of Sound, and a narrative exploration of the Atlantic octopus, Notes to the Mechanic. She lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Eric Higgins writes poetry, nonfiction, and radio essays. At the University of Houston, he is pursuing a PhD in creative writing and literature with interests in postcolonial and ecocritical studies. His work has appeared in 32 Poems, SUB-LIT, and Zone 3.

Shane Joaquín Jiménez is an MFA student in the Jack Kerouac School at Naropa University. His work appears in Bat City Review, Monkey Puzzle, and elsewhere. Author of a collection of short fiction, It Can Be That Way Still, he lives in Boulder, Colorado.

Barb Johnson, a carpenter in New Orleans, Louisiana, for many years, has received the Robert F. Gibbons Award for fiction, the Svenson Award for fiction, Glimmer Train’s Short Story Award for New Writers, and Washington Square’s award in fiction. A collection of stories, More of This World or Maybe Another, is forthcoming.

Travis Klunick grew up in Midland, Texas, and attended the University of Texas where he was the winner of both the Burleson Contest and the Fania Kruger Fellowship in poetry and fiction.

Annie Lighthart has poems appearing in Cimarron Review, CALYX, and Crab Creek Review, among other journals. She earned her MFA in writing from Vermont College and lives in Portland, Oregon. Her manuscript, The Safety of Birds, was a finalist for the 2007 Four Way Books Levis Poetry Prize.

Joel Long is the author of two chapbooks and Winged Insects, winner of the White Pine Press Poetry Prize. His work appears in Crab Orchard Review, Prairie Schooner, Willow Springs, Gulf Coast, and elsewhere. He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Adam McOmber is the managing editor of Hotel Amerika. He teaches literature and creative nonfiction at Columbia College Chicago, and his work appears in Arts & Letters.

Camille Norton was a 2004 National Poetry Series winner for her book, Corruption. She teaches at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Dan O’Brien, recently a Hodder Fellow in playwrighting at Princeton University and the Carl Djerassi Distinguished Fellow in Playwriting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be on the playwriting faculty at this year’s Sewanee Writers’ Conference. His first published poem appeared recently in Crab Orchard Review.

Charlotte Pence has received the New Millennium Writing Award, a fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission, and the Libba Moore Gray Poetry Prize. Her work appears in The Southern Review, Spoon River Poetry Review, The Seattle Review, and elsewhere. A doctoral student in creative writing at the University of Tennessee, she is the editor of Grist: The Journal for Writers.

Jody Rambo teaches at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Her poems have appeared in The Virginia Quarterly Review, Quarterly West, Verse, and Barrow Street, among other journals.

F. Daniel Rzicznek is coeditor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Prose Poetry: Contemporary Poets in Discussion and Practice, forthcoming in 2010. His most recent collection is Divination Machine. He teaches at Bowling Green State University.

Matthew Ira Swaye lives and writes in Harlem, New York City. His plays have been produced in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Laura Van Prooyen lives in Illinois and is the author of a collection of poems, Inkblot and Altar. Her work appears in such journals as Barrow Street, Blackbird, Cimarron Review, and Slate.

Tana Jean Welch was born and raised in Fresno, California, and is now working on a PhD in Literature at Florida State University. Her poetry has recently appeared in The Southern Review, North American Review, Puerto del Sol, and Beloit Poetry Journal.

Christian A. Winn teaches fiction at Boise State University. His work has appeared in Gulf Coast, The Chattahoochee Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, and McSweeney’s.
